Forum affiliate A Fine Pair of Shoes has some Alfred Sargent country boots for around $300.
The Tricker's ebay shop (retricker1829) frequently has Stow seconds for around $350.

I found two boots but I am not in any rush to purchase yet, since I might just wait and add a few more bucks to my budget. First is a JV boot in distressed gray (looks good) and an NDC in distressed leather which would also suffice. RFX, how is the fitment on JV boots if I wear a 8UK in Corso, Ricard and Starrs?

Kind of hard to tell. I wear a UK7.5-UK8 in Ricards & Corso and do not fit into the Millers (too narrow). JV has a lot of differents lasts, at least 4 iirc but I wear an 8.5 in the ones I have.

Be sure to post here when you make your pick. It seems like you have a very specific look you're trying to find and I'm always interested in all-weather boots (bc i don't have any)
