Are people picking up much in the UK? I've looked around some charity shops and found nothing even close to this quality. I live in a small middle class town so you think it would be a decent a spot. I know the US has a lot more second hand stores so maybe I'm just missing out.
Beautiful jeans, shame that were washed in a machine though.
Why is all the Filson men's stuff going to Europe? Why???!??!?
?????????????????????????????????? - clean people wash their clothes.
@Musicled Don't stress, people will slam anything that they could find. stuff they can't find is what impresses. And i'm sure there will be something for you. - it just mybe the ugliest sweater seen though. so relax, keep thrifting what looks and feels like quality, and learn to feel WHAT IS quality.
you will get trolled whatever happens, this is the interwebs, I get trolled constantly by plebs. But i can laugh as i know, they simply don't know.
Good luck, may the thrift be with you.
Why is all the Filson men's stuff going to Europe? Why???!??!?
I think the argument was in favor of soaking or handwashing instead of machine washing. Not in favor of not washing at all, though I guess some denim heads do that as well.
Agreed! I'd love a forestry cloth cruiser or something similar. Why is all the Filson men's stuff going to Europe? Why???!??!?
I'm in the UK and haven't seen anything really top quality worth buying. I've picked up a few decent bits here and there in charity shops, but nothing really brag-worthy. I actually went to a more 'upmarket' area yesterday for a look at the shops there, and while they actually had some good stuff, the prices were crazy, so I didn't get anything other than a few books for myself. Most of the things I've bought have been from TK Maxx - a couple of pairs of LVCs, and some other selvedge denim, all for myself. Today I actually found another of the Filson Forestry Cloth Cruisers I posted before:
very pleased that this one was not only my size, but on the 'Clearance' rack with an extra 30% off.
Euro-thrift-trip?
