I know its considered good form - but I could never get myself to wear something that feminine - even while in rome. Whats wrong with a pair of patent plain toe bals?

during my prowl for a mannequin this afternoon I came across this  and nearly **** a coincidence brick since we were just talking about thte EXACT same chair.  This was 'in the style of eames' though.

..... DAMMIT VALLIUM WHERE ART THOU?

If it's a vintage Plycraft, you can still fetch ~$500 for that chair pretty easily, especially if there's a big market for MCM furniture in your area. Even if it's not a period Plycraft, a few hundred ($3-400) is pretty standard for a Eames style lounge, especially in that good of condition.

Yeah, so I've been told more than once.

I had the day off today, was going to catch up on this thread, but I got to reading, and then I got the "itch". Soooooo, I took a walk to two of my nearby spots. This is was I came home with. A couple firsts for me.

My first thrifted sunglasses. O.G Rayban Wayfarers, glass lenses, made in the USA! Way heaver than the pair I currently own. $1.50

Boss, for the wife $1.50

I'm cryin'! B&L Wayfarers? The Hugos are tasty as well.

Good job!

:paranoia:

Capitals in place. Punctuation correct. Spelling and sentence structure good. OK, then. You are not Frenchy!

Also been a member for three years with an abysmal post count due to mostly lurking B&S before the conversion. I just know a bit as a few of my good friends run one of the more renowned MCM shops in town, so exposure to the culture was inevitable. I'd wager that Frenchy/valium didn't himself actually find 90% of what he posted here, but rather had "pickers" find the stuff, and then consign it to him for a cut, unless Canada really is a breeding ground for absurdly abundant pieces in seemingly perfect condition. I've only seen one piece worth grabbing in a few years, which was a Broyhill Sculptura credenza for 80$, which I flipped to my friends for $400, and they sold it the next day for $1500.

That said, in the past week I found 3 pairs of Ferragamo shoes in 7.5D, two captoes (black and congac) and one congac double monk, all of which fit perfectly. Been lusting after a pair of double monks for a few years, and now that summer is right around the corner, my grail has been found. I'm still considering ditching the black pair, so if you're looking for a pair of black captoes Brianpore, let me know.

I also stumbled upon a staple Indochino navy blazer which fits immaculately without alteration, to my surprise, considering I'm a 35-36R. It's probably one of the best fitting garments I now own, even compared to that which I've had tailored, due to my apparently odd body shape.
