1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Snagged this fine Brioni SC the other day. This morning I'm examing the tag for deets, and discover its a custom for one of those Food Network chef dudes, Joe Bastianich. No Chef Ramsey, but nice jacket anyway.

Around here, they have auctions, and it takes FOREVER (usually a full day to clear out a house) as they put every tiny item, no matter how small, up for bid, including salt and pepper shakers, Tupperware bowls, etc. It is usually a waste of time, but I once scored some nice hats near the end, when only stragglers were left.

This one too. Well, it is leather. Could have been leather from America I suppose, but the coat was made elsewhere.

    Just throwing this out there:

I'm in the market for pocket squares, particularly those featuring the color yellow. Anybody got some hook ups?

Today I was approached by a man at my usual lunch stop. I have seen him in there quite often, but I have never ever seen him purchase anything or even have anything in his hands. He introduced himself and asked if I had a store. He had seen the things I buy regularly and figured as much. Apparently he is a picker for other vintage stores. He gave me his card and invited me to call him to check out his excess inventory.

Should I have grabbed this? Had a faded name above the front right pocket that caused hesitation. :|

Looked up that product number, it is legit. Can't tell what era though.

Great to make these connections, even it's not about clothes.

Was someone here a 38S? I picked up a Chipps Jacket + Vest Tweed today and wanted to know if they'd want it before I throw it up on the bay.

Check out this insane vintage T&A tie. 51 and a quarter inches long, 4 and a half wide. I love it.

I'm think '70 to '75 but if anyone can more accurately pin that down, please let me know.

That is nice. Real nice. It has a certain amount of character that sets it a bit apart....
