I feel like I have good luck on days that I don’t plan to thrift but end up going to a couple stores. I had planned on doing yard work all day but it was raining when I got up. Had a couple hours to kill so I hit a few stores.

I think the McQueen is an orphan but I couldn’t leave it. The store is kind of far from my house but I’m gonna try back in a couple days to see if the pants come out. All super recent. The YSL is summer ‘17.

...into this. I hate raking so I listened to some heavy d-beat shiz and mulched the leaves up.

Bonus pic. When I left, my wife said “can you grab a mask? ...just any scary mask. I have an idea.” Turns out she just wanted to see what the dogs would do. They saw right through it and jumped up and snugged her.

Having a big yard is really cool 10-11 months of the year. Then it’s just brutal during autumn. Last year I raked them all up and filled 82 bags. Had to call in a special yard waste pickup and they charged me $140some. Just mulching from now on.

Yard work? 2.5 bags worth of leaves so far, just from the front yard. The maple trees are getting ready to dump on us. Most of this was from our neighbor’s cottonwood tree.

It's so much better here than when we lived in Cupertino, CA. At least here, the leaves only drop once per year. The acacia trees we used to have suck year-round!

We have a little under a 1/2 acre lot. When we moved it, we had a ton of oak trees. That fall was awful! My neighbor said he just lets them all fall and then calls a fall yard clean up service. I followed his advice, it was great. I think it ran $210 for my yard, which was completely worth it. Couple years later, we lost about 15 oaks to oak wilt. Sucked to lose those trees, but it really makes a difference in the fall cleanup. Now, if I keep up on it once a week, I can get it myself and save some money. Still, if I had the big yard with all those trees, I'd definitely still be using the fall cleanup service.
