HN Whites are nice. How's the construction? No details on their site. Knot?

I’ll offer a contrary view from some. Setting aside the huge delays in getting the product and almost non-existent communication, the fabric - though attractive - failed relatively quickly. I also thought the lining seemed a bit flimsy. The whole experience - both product and service - was 180 degrees opposite from dealing with David Hober.

I’ll allow for the possibility White has stepped its game up since then.

I had a few of the early ones and they were definitely not as nice as the current versions.

Silver diner delivers and has carry out
The Smith delivers as well including cocktails apparently. Not sure if they will cross the river, though.

I like to contact the restaurant itself for pick-up rather than use DoorDash or Uber Eats, which take a commission on every order. I've noticed a pretty significant difference between restaurants that already had an established pick-up and delivery system and those that did not. I can order from Federalist Pig online and set a specific time for pick-up, which has been really nice. For Mintwood Place, I have to call in advance and give my credit card number every time, which is annoying, but I can set a specific time for pick-up. And for Lapis, I have to call in advance and wait a half-hour until the food is ready, which is incredibly annoying.

I've read the end of the HNW affiliate thread, so I know several members were upset with Harry's customer service back then, but I haven't had any experiences like that in my four orders.

Knocked out an urban ride today. 17 miles just before the sun came out (of course!). Park Police and DC Metro Police had the Tidal Basin closed off and no pedestrian/bikes allowed over 14th St and Memorial bridges. Too little, too late of course as peak was last weekend and all the visitors created a huge incubator. Glad I stayed on my bike out in the street.

Had to go over Key Bridge into Georgetown. Hit the Mall, went against non-existent One Way traffic and blew through every light.

Obviously Loro Piana was worried about smash and grabs.

Paul Stuart looked nice at least.

The only closed store in the neighborhood with a metal gate protecting the door and windows is the cannabis store.
