Can someone give me some recommendations for a really intimate and 'vibey' bar in Georgetown? Not too far from Clyde's as we'll be walking.
Not sure what you mean by "vibey." Any hotel bar will be intimate. Try the Four Seasons or the Ritz Carlton.

For my $$; Martin's is a classic (easy walk from Clyde's) for cocktails, and has history,

The Sovereign is good for a wide variety of Belgian beers (also decent cocktails)

I had a nice time for a drink at the rooftop of The Graham

Well, I certainly don’t want a mates bar.
Seeing my girlfriend next week as she lives nearby and want to make it special.

I’ll take a look through the suggestions, cheers all.

If you want a vibey bar take her to Bourbon Steak or Fiola Mare. Ritz Carlton is pretty low key.

L'Annexe is a cocktail bar closer to the Four Season's Hotel. It could be "vibey" in the back room away from the bar. L'Avant Garde is owned by the same people - very expensive, definitely has a mood to it but it's more of a restaurant. Donahue is a cocktail bar on Wisconsin Ave (one block north of Martin's). That is definitely "vibey". Depending on the day of the week you go it's more of a date spot then later becomes a bit of a sceney bar.

I just want to take a moment and tip my hat to all of you that commute into DC for work. I commuted to Chantilly from Silver Spring and back every day this week and it was a super bummer.

You poor souls that do it on the reg.
