Reactions at party from boss’ hot daughter (Captain other college tennis team and champion equestrian).

SuitSupply tux: “This guy owns his own tux? Bears watching and maybe even eye contact.”

Mashburn tux: “Wearing his own Italian tux? Laugh, toss my hair, smile glowingly. Date possible.”

Paul Stuart Paul tux: “He’s triggering my Daddy issues…, Mummy will be proud.”

Phineas Cole tux: “Daddy will be jealous when I carry this guy’s genes forward…tonight…”

Anyway, that’s likely how it would go. 😎
Hahaha.....Amazing! Take the rest of the day. Your work is done...

Welcome to the thread! The building museum is such a cool space, I'm very jealous you get to go to a formal event there (not jealous about the schmoozing part though!).

By any chance do you have dark gray trousers that fit? That might make for a more cohesive outfit than black pants. If not then I'd say bite the bullet and rent a tux but, as said above, get a real (not pre-tied) bow tie. I personally like cummerbunds over waistcoats. And stick with your own black shoes as the patent leather rentals just look awful.

I don't think black suits are all that versatile unless you're a DJ or work at a funeral parlor. A charcoal suit works fine in any formal situation including funerals and can also be worn during the work day if needed.
Great point on the shoes! Keep in mind Alden and Carmina both make a beautiful tuxedo pump. But Alden is obviously here in town.

Where does an MTM Sartoria Carrara tux fall in the hierarchy?

Asking for a friend 😜

I assume Steven Hitchcock bespoke tuxedo with Edward Green opera pumps and longmire studs and links will make you the equivalent of the expectation vs. reality meme

Are you guys still dressing up every day? I've been in a jean jacket for the past 12 months!!!
Back in the office full time for over a year now. Suit and tie or sport coat and tie every day!

Yep! Suit and tie on court days, sportcoat (sometimes tie) on non court days. But I'm definitely outside the norm, even for DC.

Clearly need to be in a Paul Stuart Tuxedo everyday!

Where does the old RL Purple Label Tuxedo fall in this hierarchy?
