This one is on eBay right now.

Some of these are highly sought after (the one below is $180, although I think if you waited, you can find one for $125). But Ralph has come up with all sorts of great designs over the years. Some have just become collectibles in certain circles.

RL recently re-released their "Respect the Wilderness" cap. I think it retailed for $50 or $60. This was a few seasons ago.

That one's nice too, but I'm a fly fisherman...I want the one with the trout on it!

Some old fishing themed gear from RL over the years. My first love for clothing was this sort of RL gear in the 90s.

RL re-released the Polo Sportsman fisherman sweater in the second photo.

Also, some more vintage RL caps. I think these are best worn with vintage block colored RL outfits, but they also work with something as simple as jeans and a flannel shirt. Sort of sporty, cycling vibes.

Those RL sportsman themed items had some excellent graphics that truly captured the 40's-50's.

It was re-released last fall/ winter. I assume you can find some floating around the second-hand market. There are so many RL re-sellers.

I bought one and was surprised by how soft it feels. I think it's made from Shetland (I have to check). Which is usually pretty harsh and scratchy. While I still wouldn't wear this on bare skin, it feels surprisingly soft to the touch. I think RL must have put the fabric through some kind of wash or something. If it helps to know, I find the new re-released version to run true-to-size.

Yea, they're great.

Free & Easy once did a special RL issue. I've been wanting to get that rodeo jacket in the first photo. I believe it was originally made for women, but the button closure is in the "correct" position for men.

Wow, blast from the past. I went through a ball cap phase in the early to mid 90s, and had one of those alongside some of the stuff which was doing the rounds then like the all-suede Timberland one, and what I recall as a blue flannel LL Bean one with a suede bill. No idea where any of them are now...

I recently purchased a Drakes navy cotton sports jacket that was on 50% discount which should be arriving soon. But after import tax (currently living in Korea) it costs more than a Ring Jacket navy sports coat that I can get here, with the Ring Jacket sports coat being full canvas rather than the half in the Drakes. Of course the RJ is liksly more trim and the spalla camicia more pronounced whilst there is the ticket pocket on the Drakes.

My question is should I care so much about the canvassing or more about the styling/silhouette? I'm assuming the Drakes would look and feel a little more relaxed.

I think you should get whichever one fits you best and has the best looking silhouette for your body type.

I think it's the best jacket of this season. Gorgeous tones and subtle pattern.

Agree. The "tumbled" look makes it a great match for formal or casual wear. And while it has the looks of tweed, it seems to have more of a 4-season cloth

What does everyone think of this jacket? Looks amazing to me:

I'd have to see more pictures, close-ups preferably, and possibly see it in person, but I think it's the same fabric as the one pictured below which was a SS offering. I was a bit iffy on the fabric. I actually ordered it but decided against it. Still I liked the pop of green though.
