Sorry for the poor pic...I think DV or MDubs was asking the other day about shoe storage. I had "shoe cubbies" designed into my closet. Each set holds about 10 pairs and I have 4 spread out through the closet. The shelves are adjustable to allow for varying boot shaft heights.

Dang that is a nice setup. I really want to create a similar setup. It really can't be that hard to make, and I could probably make it a bench or something, but I am afraid to ask my wife... Although she knows my shoes, she doesn't exactly jump for joy when I do stuff pertaining to them.

I have to admit that the budget really worked well for my wife and I. She knows I am very analytical with my spending, keeping a list of things I would eventually like to buy. At the moment most of that list is Aldens and she knows they are expensive but have agreed our personal money can be spent any way we would like without judgment. We both also have money budgeted for work lunches along with personal spending cash, we averaged out our lunch expenses and decided that if we kept under that we could roll over the extra into our personal spending money. So if I chose to eat off the dollar menu sometimes it allows me to stack a bit more spending money haha.

I bring left overs to work every day. It is amazing how quickly eating out every day adds up. If you eat in everyday you can add 6 additional Alden's to your collection each year. :) (Math was $10 x 30 days per month)....

The boots look great sir.
The adjustable shelves option is very clever, thanks for sharing.

I envy the space you guys have. All my pairs get wiped down, brushed and go back in their box at the end of wearing. I keep them in my closet, can't justify having all those boxes with no shoes in them when we live in a condo.

I don't think the guys here have much more room... As stated by a poster on the Viberg forum..."in order for us to be able to afford all these shoes, we must all still live in our parent's basement and not be married". LMAO

So @rydenfan that's a pretty impressive setup for the basement.

I'm looking for a pair of Alden boots to buy pre-owned
between 8.5D and 9D depending on the last.

PM if you have a pair you'd like to sell.
