1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Mac, your PT King Monks are looking very good. Looks good with your argyles and trousers.

Looking good in your boots. They are a lovely makeup.

Those NST boots are looking very nice my friend. Those socks are kind of fun plus a good match.

I have a pair of those and they are rather nice.

Thanks for the feedback. I currently have it #8, but do tend to agree with you.

Enjoy your new PT Boots in good health and enjoy your reinvigorated WT Monks.

Your new LWBs are quite unique. I have never seen that model before it appeared on the bay. I would guess that they are MTO as I tried to do a search to see if it was grain shell with no results. I know Alden has had Ravello Grain Shell Cordovan in the past. I have seen a sample of it before.

Thanks Tie Guy, the shell does have deep red tones, not sure if it's a dark ravello or possibly #4..... It is an interesting make-up

Uncle, thanks for confirming, I figured they were MTO with no model # listed.

Thanks guys. I am quite pleased with these.

@MoosicPa - I was watching them and contemplated taking a shot. They are really unique. Very nice pic.

These are absolutely stunning! I confess I'm not a big fan of grain leathers usually, but these make the details of the LWB pop!!! I'm not at all familiar with the makeup, but it looks like the more reddish Ravello of ~2012-2013.

    Uncle,

When you say MTO, do you mean in the same vein as when a retailer does a custom run? Or do you mean true, one-off pair MTO direct from Alden?

    Thank you

Do you have a picture of the stain? What kind of oil/grease is it?

RE oil stain. I had similar and heaping baby powder on the stain over night seemed to soak the stain up slightly. I repeated this a few times over it became far less noticeable - although admittedly didn't disappear all together.

On another note - anyone moving on LWB'a in an 8D? Would like to pick a pair up below retail..

I don't have a picture right now. I'm at work and the boots are at home. It is most likely some Type of animal fat. I was out to dinner last night and there are a few possibilities. I didn't drop any food however. Just bad luck. Oh well. I guess I'll
Try baby powder and some Prayer to te patron saint of shoes
