1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Nice! I was able to get this makeup from the Alden seconds list and it's one of my favorites!

The split at the welt is pretty much standard issue. Not sure what's going on at the toe, though. If these were firsts I'd bring it up to the retailer.

Those should start to look amazing as they break in.

apparently Alden is no longer mixing shell and suede, or at least #8 with suede due to bleeding of the die into the suede.....as a result the make up was changed to #8 with alpine grain saddle

this is reportedly a thing of the past as well.....get it while you can unless you want to have them chaged after purchasing

That's a bummer. To me the new style isn't even comparable.

I say Alden can solve this issue and do a Snuff Suede with Whiskey Saddle. Shouldn't be any noticeable bleed. I saw we spearhead that campaign. "The Whiskey Saddle" or the "Marcus Brody" (In keeping with an Indiana Jones theme)

The split in the welt on one of them is lifted up though so it could caught on something .. the mark on the toe stands out .. I can't see how this would be acceptable on an almost 600 dollar boot .. i sent an email to context clothing with pics .. waiting for their reply. I spoke with them on the phone and they were just like whatever .. i can send them back. I really like them but that mark just looks weird.

So, I took my older 403s and tossed a thin coat of black dye on them to black out the stitching and freshen them up. I'm not sure if before or after is better...

I think they look great. Still a bit of a brown undertone, it seems.

Thanks. They're still chocolatey in tone, so I need to find a good lace color.
