And the end result of a 68 yr old guy climbing on ladders (wearing Alden AoC-122's) to please his granddaughter. Ladder not tall enough, or would have got both undone peaks.

A post with a nod to @Roycru for the day's adventures.

Bachelor party this weekend and I'm visiting the George S Patton museum before the festivities begin. Sadly, many of the tanks I saw as a boy have been moved since the armor school was relocated.

Decided to wear Modified boots for a military type last for the occasion.

Photos don't do the tanks justice. They are massive!

Patton's famous ivory pistols. These are the his actual revolvers. The back side of the right revolver has two hash marks for bandits he killed in Mexico in battle.

Sherman tank. I'm a tall guy and the barrel is easily 8' high

Foam firetruck damaged in 9/11 when Flight 77 struck the Pentagon. It was sitting within 200 feet of the impact point and saved the lives of the 3 men assigned to it.

Keeping it GYW relevant here, even the Mannequins have GYW boots! Nails in the sole too. I'm very impressed with the details on them.

And finally, I'm going to visit my bank here and inquire about removing some of my gold. I don't think they'll mind me paying a visit.

For those of you who know what this is, I hope you enjoy my poor attempt at a joke!

I have found it only works really well for me without boot socks (heavy)
I wear my Brannock size (9D) in Grant and it works really well in normal boot socks. Compared to Barrie, they're probably a little narrower as I am able to wear thick Chup boot socks with my Barrie size (8.5D).

I have seen a few Plaza lasted shoes/boots that are intriguing, but not sure what size I should get. I reached out to Mack at Brogue since he is the closest shop to where I live and we'll see what he suggests. I have a feeling that I'll need to stop in and bring both normal dress socks and boot socks when trying on shoes.
