Wingtip Wednesday on a plane (not near the wing, unfortunately). Snuff Suede got the nod for this trip. Learned to now carry a travel sized shoehorn to get my boots back on after passing through TSA.

Fellas—gauging some potential interest here (not a hard commitment) per @jpm1 suggestion.

Would love to see Ealdwine’s Siegel Spectator (which I preordered immediately) in Black Regina (toe and heel) and Loden Lady Calf.

See Siegel photo for style and swatches via Jim for color.

Thanks for the perspective.

That’s what happened to my V tip Brogue boots. It’s not that the speed hooks/eyelets were misaligned. It looks like the inner quarter/panel wasn’t stitched forward enough

Ah, I see what you mean. Looks like that might be the issue on my boot as well. I am okay with it given the discount, was hoping for a smaller issue, but not that big of a deal for a casual pair.

Another great seconds pickup from TSM. Darn near perfect except for one, seemingly shallow cut into the shell on the upper left panel on the left boot. Any experience with damage like this from anyone here?

I had an even longer deeper cut on this pair of boots. @JSO1 suggested I might be able to brush it away, which seemed ludicrous at the time, however I took his suggestion and brushed it regularly over 6 months (2+ years ago) and it has practically disappeared. Perhaps if I continued to brush it the last 2 years it'd actually have disappeared completely. It's more obvious in this photo than it is in real life. IRL you'd almost not notice it or just think it's a normal old surface scuff/scratch.

that's great to hear. It's honestly nothing I'm concerned about since it seems so superficial. Appreciate the shared of experience!
