That won't happen though.

Hope has a wonderful aesthetic, really good cuts and beautiful fabrics but the quality (at least when I used to sell them in a store I worked in) is embarrassing for the price point. I believe they will have to rethink their strategy as Acne has that area covered and played-out.

Yea, I dont actually see em getting big, and I hope they don't. Its always cool to be somewhat different. But usually co's like this don't get too mainstream.

As a heads up, if you do like em, get on the mailing list so they let you know when their new stuff comes out, cause otherwise sometimes sizes can move quick.

I think I've recenty seen 3 pics of Justin Timberlake wearing RVCA...so my bet is on that one...for growth in a market that most here dislike.

Its funny when I go shop in different countries and see ppl clamouring over brands that is considered "garbage" in another (i.e. Gap), which I find amusing sometimes. Maybe they're thinking the same thing about me when I buy certain brands in their country.

I was struggling to find brands that people on this forum like that may be on the cusp of an increase in business or just entering mainstream popularity.

APC-Possible decline in turnover IMO.
EG-Designs too niche.
W+H- Hoody sold well but they didn't spin that success into other categories.
NDG-Too niche, too pricey. Would take a brave investor to take it anywhere.

No... can't think of any success stories. The economy will be a struggle for many of these expensive niche brands, it's not where the games at for 2008.
