Pablo at Stanton St. is a great tailor. I live in Brooklyn and bring everything to him. Beware that they never, ever answer the phone.

Haha didn’t know that, I know quite a few boutique use Sam as well. Not a lot guys does alterations in house these days I guess (RL and Paul Stuart come to mind)

post-pandemic too - I recently went for my fitting for a MTM Orazio jacket and they said they would send it to Sam Wazin for a few adjustments

now come to think about it, I ordered a jacket during the earlier part of COVID from them that was available in HK (but sold out in NY in my size) I asked them to finish sleeve before shipping time and that was sent to Sam as well.

Dropped by Sam's place yesterday to get a jacket and pants altered. 1 month turn around.

well, he wasn't the quickest prior, but that's definitely even slower than before

I bought a 3PB jacket from the Armoury back in May and turn around for getting the sleeves shortened was a week.

Dropped by Sam's place yesterday to get a jacket and pants altered. 1 month turn around.

He's done a couple things for me over the past few weeks and it was usually the 2 week turnaround for 1 or 2 pieces of work; perhaps there's some influx of weddings or some of his other tailors may have been out.

same, but I used to do a lot direct with Sam Wazin, I guess he prioritize Armoury, store etc stuff (he is upfront about the timeline, never pushed maybe can get quicker?)

What are people’s recommendations to get some shirt sleeves altered? If possible, would prefer midtown area but any suggestions welcome.
