Holy ****! I had never seen that show. Kyle should definitely do it. He has the right attitude. Those cooks are ******* horrible.

Can someone explain blueberries to me... IMO they don't taste like anything unless they're cooked

I have said in the past that I really thing he would be a great candidate ... the one nut debacle is a nice heart tugger for the people who watch the show and his StyleForvm speak might make him sound retarted enough to land a spot on the cast. The only downside is he seems to be somewhat able in the kitchen, something that appears to be frowned upon.

Low bush blueberries (the little ones, also called 'wild' blueberries) are delicious. The larger, high bush berries taste like nothing.

Maryland steamed crabs with plenty of Old Bay and pitchers of cold National Bohemian.

Food of the gods.

You need to visit Maine in late July-August when the lowbush berries are in season. Picked right off the bush, the berries are heavenly.

Thanks for reminding me of Gustiamo.com. It's a good site. For those in the NYC area, I believe that there are periodic warehouse sales.

They are great when cooked. Raw, they do little for me. My wife consumes almost a quart of them a week during the season. She puts them on cereal, eats them for snacks, etc. She just loves them.

I don't think I've ever had these low bush blueberries (or as my son says "brrrrrrrrrrrrrrbies") but I am now intrigued and must try them.

matt - yes I agree that stuck in an oven or in a pancake or whatever, they all of a sudden become very flavorful.

I don't have the right attitude. I have exactly the wrong attitude. I refuse to not be treated professionally, which has been a detriment to my career thus far. I can hang with the occassional barking that inevitably takes place on a 400 cover night. But that stuff isn't personal. Ramsay is personal. But what do you mean by the right attitude?

Not sure if it's perfection, but I have a place in this world where I could eat pho nearly everyday, for every meal, and I'd be ok with it.

Well, I've only seen two episodes, but from what I can tell, you lack the thing that gets most of them in trouble, which is an inflated ego. Ramsay does seem like a total ass, though. You really should have worked for my old boss. I think you would have liked a kitchen like that.

Yeah it's strange. I really have a pretty big ego, but for some reason, I take criticism very well and usually try to change from it. Maybe that's just from habit of being criticized a lot! You did meet Lish after all.

Hey, he's still cheffing. I'm still cooking. You never know, it's a small world.
