My oven is wall-mounted, but I thought the vast majority of ovens are combined with stoves and hence positioned on the floor. Especially traditional ovens like AGAs, but also super-premium modern ovens and everything in between.

I can't comprehend any particular reasons for hating any kitchen without a wall-mounted oven.

I'm not on the 'I hate everything that isn't ideal' kitchen train, but I think the continuous countertop and drawers under the cabinet do look better than when they are interrupted by the stove. That being said, the built in stove does not work in every application.

You can do a built in oven under a separate cooktop, if you prefer the continuous countertop look. I prefer to do both actually - a range along with a wall oven/microwave tower. That way you get the wall oven for convenience, but you also get the full-sized oven under the cooktop for when you need it. Also gives a place for the microwave, since it's a bit troublesome to place when you do a double wall oven.

Not sure if it's just the photography, but I'm getting a cramped sensation from most of the spaces in that house. I need a Hero to explain why it's awesome.

I'm not sure it is awesome. It is interesting, though. But you may be right that it's cramped.

A lot to like about the case house, though plenty to nitpick as well. I hate the graduating facade, it would be a real sexpot if they had done them all the same. Also, in a house that tiny, I can't see a purpose for more than one spiral staircase, it just seems overwhelming with two of them. I think they could have gotten from one landing to the other in another way.

Call me a Luddite, but making room for the TV in a set of built in bookcases makes me shake my head.

Why? You can't use the same room to read a book and watch television?
