I'm going to agree with UP on this one. It looks like a crappy office kitchenette and the drawers look like filing cabinets. There is also not enough room on either side of the range to be useful for anything.

I see - I would not say it is awful but agree that the space around the stove and the overly artfully spaced/ sized top cabinets make it awkward looking and likely less functional. I wonder if the space from kitchen and behind (That bathroom and stairway room thingy) could have been made a bit more useful. It appears there is a lot of wasted space going on. But maybe that was necessary as the top vertical box is on top of this part?

Overall though, I like this house. From the feel I get, it reminds me of the Big Sur house. Likely driven by similar environments as well. I could sit there all day and stare over the water with a glass of wine.

Not feeling it, for once I agree with unnamed hater as the kitchen is awful, the narrow looking doors, the grey top and what looks like crap quality.

We had an informal vote but Hayward vetoed/invalidated it by continuing to post.

Well, a vote on a forum like that sounds a bit silly to me. In the end, we should be able to behave like adults regarding what is simply a shared passion for architecture and not get bruised egos like a high-school girl (Apologies to all the high-school girls in here for using this stereotype ...).

I do miss SH though. He has an uncanny eye for fantastic projects, knows his stuff and for sure is a funny and insightful poster.

+1 for having an oven on the floor and hence an awful kitchen ...

The odds are very high my statement was a jest. Very high.

What was it 5 pages of idiocy or something like that, sh returned briefly a month or so ago, to point out that people had chosen "right" and then left again.

It looks like he went back and edited out 20 or 30 of his most recent contributions too. Wow, I missed the drama back in Feb it seems.

Hayward is a ****. He ruins most of the threads he is in. This was one of the good ones on SF. No more.
