OK. I wasn't implying you were concerned...it was more for me. If that WAS the Clark St., I'd order at least 2 pair. Sheew. Just saved me some money.

Haha yeah the Aldens are nice looking for sure.

I prefer Alden's natty to AE's, but I like AE's golden brown and I don't believe Alden has an equivalent. Therefore, if it were me, I'd go with the golden brown.

I have a pair of Alden natty CXL PTB so first instinct was Golden Brown just to have something different.

I was considering a regular upper. Bourbon calf with indy lining. Would love wheeled edges too. Like the one posted a few up, just with a few small differences. I just took it to be it would only be available on Indy line shoes. But I suppose if you requested the Indy upper it would make sense. However wanted to keep the price a bit more reasonable. And hoping they'd honor a sale price when it came around.

New policy is that Indy lining and wheeled edges only go with full Indy upgrades. No more freebies.

So you'd have to spring for upper/lining/sole/edges. Thats a bummer. Was hoping it'd just be an upcharge and not have to get the whole kitchen sink. At that point I'd just assume do a shell upper, can't imagine they'd turn you down for some indy options.

I think it's a combination of preserving the features ratio per price point, and also keeping the different lines (standard, rough, Indy, cordo) "consolidated" to dedicated MTO staff while they continue to improve their factory operations. At least that's what I surmised from Paul Graangard's recent email about MTO policy changes.

Again, love those Franciscan's. Really want to do a pair as I like the 333 last. Question though. Has anyone requested Indy lining? And if so did the price jump to $495 or was it just an upcharge? For example, and extra $50 or something. Sure wish I had gotten in on the fun with the no cost upgrades.

You know, it doesn't hurt to ask. Particularly, if you are willing to pay a small price for the refinements. -Mike

Just got shipping notification of Strand in burgundy shell, will post pictures next to a pair of brown shell Strand!

Do you guys usually brush/buff new shells before taking pictures?

Congrats ZP! I receive my Brown Shell Strands today! I usually don't brush before my pictures and first wearing. They will see plenty of horse hair during thier life.

Here is where I am so far on a possible Clark Street MTO for the upcoming sale, any suggestions, comments?

golden brown CXL
chili flat welt
light brown transparent edge dressing
leather midsole
black dainite outsole
blind eyelets
tone on tone piping if possible, brown/black if not (not sure whats available)
cream/tan upper and welt stitching.
brown leather insole

I emailed Allision this morning to get the ball rolling on these. I do not have a great imagination and I am also not good at photoshop, but I took to MS paint to give myself and you guys a little idea of what my shoe could look like hahaha. Should be a darker midsole though along with the possibility of having dark piping. It's a start though and I think they look pretty solid.

Just got the invoice from Allison for my MTO Eagle County (probably the last they'll do for awhile until they again accept MTO requests for discontinued style) and I got charged the $125 MTO fee. The is the first time this has happened out of the 5 MTOs I've done via Allison. Has the SF policy changed as well?

If it has, hen bummer, I'll have to cancel this one as my wallet can't justify that extra 125.

Sounds like more of an oversight. I think they will correct it.
