Im interested in purchasing a basic leather belt. I am wondering if the higher price for a tanner goods belt is worth it compared to Corter and other brands.

thanks

Can't go wrong with a Tanner belt in natural and nickel hardware. The color is fairly light when you get it, but after a few months of wear, it darkens--its like breakin in a pair of jeans.

I got my Tanner Goods belt around a month ago, its lovely and worth every penny, when you get it in your hands you can appreciate and feel the handcrafted quality of it. I love it, and knowing it gets better with age and wear makes it that much better.

I bought a belt from Scott Willis, Dont Mourn Organize. Belt holes were custom, down to 1/8" per my mesurement for almost half the price. He has different leather/buckle options as well.

Tanner Goods, Corter, Hollows and all of them make great belts. Just depends on preference really.
For example Corter makes thick cheap straps for us lads with clean nickel hardware while Tanner has a bigger range of colors and styles with more in stock while the other guys like Zissou and all them offer more customized options with a more personal touch, but because of this may take a little extra time to deliver.
