For those of us with easy access to Taobao, I thought it'd be good to compile a list of brands we've tried.

I've tried the following brands:
1. Caroline Murat - wonderful styling and quality. I have a Balmacaan, a trench, 2 MTM shirts, a few polos, and a few scarves from them. The only downside is that my body type doesn't seem to fit their "block" precisely but nevertheless a lovely brand.
2. Skaro - I have a corduroy puffer vest from them, which I quite like. Quality seems quite good, price (when on sale) very reasonable.
3. Hoshea Wang - I have a corduroy puffer vest from them. Lovely styling and quality. Nice details (leather zipper pulls). A little pricey (by Taobao standards), but I think it's worth it.
4. Zing Chen - I like their styling, and the fit is great - my body type seems to fit their "block" precisely. I have a denim shirt, a knit polo and a jersey quarter zip from them. Quality seems average for their price.
5. Rosure's Denzel - Emphasis on technical fabrics. I have a puffer vest from them. Quality seems fine, I don't like their fit much though - quite loose around the hips.
6. UGENTLE - I have a hopsack jacket from them. Nice styling and quality.
7. Maste Xu - A+++. I have 6 jackets, 5 pairs of trousers and an overcoat from him and he is fantastic.

I'm interested in the following brands. Let me know if you've tried them:
1. Acme Cultum
2. Cultum
3. Full Monty

I like Remains and wanr for their vintage menswear

simon lynch has a lot of classic menswear but I haven't tried.

Maste Xu is not bad but a shirt I bought came with a collar too big. The one piece polo is nice though

Thanks, I will check out Remains and Wanr.

I got a pair of jeans from Simon Lynch once, and they were very soft and comfortable, but they were just too short and I had to donate them (my fault, I didn't read the sizing chart).

Taobao is super hit or miss and lots of their things are (understandably) sized around the Asian body type which makes it difficult for any of Western descent. Armholes are typically a big problem for me.

I've got easy access to Taobao (through the wife) but I'm always hesitant to spend good money as I'm sure simple tags like 100% wool doesn't mean 100% wool. And the quality always leaves me second-guessing.

Just the thread i was looking for 🙌

Also got access to TaoBao and started to explore classic menswear offerings. I always thought that there is nothing wrong with made in China nowadays, as literally everybody produces there and what really matters is quality control.

Started simple and ordered a slim black calf leather belt with brass buckle from CULTUM, which i was very pleased with. The leather felt subtle and looked quality, sizing was just as listed and spot on. The only con for me was the buckle colour being quite the saturated gold, which some might find a bit too much. For reference, I compared the belt to the same style from Sartolane.
Currently got a denim shirt and cotton slacks in transit.

Also tried a woven leather belt by OLD SELING LEATHER, which i found a bit lacking in quality. Both the leather quality and stitching didn't look that great.

Interested in ordering from ISIR HONOUR later this year. Will also check out some of the brands from OP.
