Tailors at Bergdorf - shortening sleeves at shoulder - competent?

There's a nice jacket at Bergdorf, unstructured/soft shoulder, linen/silk/wool blend (Michael Bastian?). Sleeves are about 2-3 inches long on my wrist, and it's got surgeon's cuffs.

Most importantly, elbow patches that are too low slung for it to look good if the sleeve was mostly shortened at the wrist (they would look disporportionately low).

They said they'd shorten it at the shoulder. I asked if they do it a lot (they said yes, obvs), but have reservations, since that's such a critical operation, maybe especially given the soft shoulder.

Would ya'll trust Bergdorf to shorten the sleeves of an unstructured jacket at the shoulder?

Have any of you done so?

Odds are it would be fine, but I fear screwed up sleeve pitch, etc.

Id trust them to do it. A store like that probably performs that operation 100s of times a year.
