Yeah, I've seen the movie at least 5 times. Have you watched it? He moves wonderfully in that suit. That still shot of the sleeve looks just fine - like someone in a comfortable suit leaning against a piano. That suit is incredible! Cloth moves. You can't judge an action shot by robo-pose standards. If you think he looks bad as you are watching the movie, then, well, that's another thing I suppose...

Im of the opinion that clothes arent there to turn people into statues.. and though a suit is the most statue-like of options its still good to have them reveal changes as people move. These arent bauhaus costumes people. As four shoulders I do think it depends on how much informality is being conveyed. Im a powerfully built creature and some of the more padded shoulders emphasize that power too much so I dont want extension because its doubling down on the roman shoulder armor look. It works great for some people so there is no one simple rule that applies to everyone.

Lol... also I was just thinking about the difference between He Man and Skeletor (same plastic action figure bodies as well as the filmation cartoons). Skeletor has extended shoulderpads...

For instance, I prefer Mario's shoulder to Luca's, but think Luca's is more appropriate for a suit:

When I see pictures like this, I just assume that the guy has had the jacket for a few years and has lost some muscle mass. It always looks like it used to fit him well, and now its just too big. Whether one finds that quaint is in the eye of the beholder

I forgot I posted in this thread. Was fun rereading it.

What gives me pause is how an extended shoulder suit looks while in motion.

After digging up some more photos, I still think it looks fine.
