I've never negged anyone on sufu expect AgentJ.

You know what Sufu is like

When it goes down, even for a little reason, there's always a problem and it's down for days.

Most other transitions go along smoothly without a problem, downtime is how sufu rolls

Funny, it looks like you've made that same mistake around 323 times.

It looks like you make the same mistake 9,365 more times so I wouldn't be taking.

aside from (maybe) the intricacies of the rep system, i don't see any reason why they have such a tough time as far as the technical workings. doesn't seem like rocket science; i've kept much more complex sites running seamlessly.

My guess is that it's a probably a mix of a crappy webhost and a big over-engineered database to deal with.

most of the time it's just the forums and not the front page that break down/need maintenance. it's just a typical vbulletin install, so it puzzles me why they would ever even need major maintenance.

you have no clue what you're talking about, as usual.
there is a lot of work behind this update. it's not just moving to a new version. there will be some changes that require testing and it's not easy with a big database and huge traffic it has to handle.

yeah, i don't think it's that easy. i'm assuming their database is gigantic, and with all the traceroute crap, perhaps they're running their own server. I wouldn't think it's just a one click dreamhost install as you make it out to be.
