Get a new tailor is my advice.

I would, but the guy is literally the only somewhat competent tailor in the city as far as I can tell. The others do subpar work and still charge well over a hundred dollars for the same alteration. A standard sleeve shortening is still 50-60 dollars at minimum, regardless of who does it. Outrageous tailoring prices and incompetent work is just one of the joys of living in Norway, unfortunately.

Take the train to Göteborg. It will be cheaper and you'll get a competent tailor ,)

You're generally right, but I just had a tailor quote me 400 dollars to shorten sleeves from the shoulder... The world would be a better place if SuSu abandoned their idiotic functional sleeve buttons on RTW.
The SuSu shorten from sleeves was 70$ in Stockholm. But we never did that alteration it’s a last resort.

Speaking of which, you could fly from Oslo to Stockholm, for $100. Get the alterations done for $70, fly back and buy tax free alcohol ~$50 before you get into Norway for $100+$100+$70+$50 = $320 and you would still have money left over.

In Poland I pay for that about 10$ :D Shortening from shoulders are one of the most expensive alterations (as everything connected with shoulders) and I would pay about 50-60$ for that.

Back to topic - my order from 27.11 prepared for shipment from Netherlands:)

15% polyester for 499 Euros?

Is that worth it?

I wonder what they used the polyester for.

I've read somewhere that it's done because of the Alpaca wool, which isn't strong enough to be made in a suit without some synthetic blend.
