Here are a couple things I thought I would hate (based on ingredients or first time trying it, etc.)
Bloody Marys - I hate tomato juice, Im not too keen on the taste of tabasco and vodka is certainly not my white of choice. But now I make one at least once or twice a week. I love it. I'll make em in the morning too without alcohol cause it totally wakes me up for the day.
Uni Sashimi (raw sea urchin) - First time I had it I wanted to puke, then for some reason I started craving it randomly, and now it's one of my favorite types of sushi. It's really weird, for those who haven't tried it. Looks like a little mustard-color tongue, and it turns into liquid when you start eating it.
Salted Lemon Preserves in Club Soda (vietnamese drink) - Sounds disgusting, and I thought it was the first time I had it, but like above, for some reason I started it craving the flavor and ever since then I've been in love with it. I almost always get it when I go out for Pho'.
