I recently bought a Brooks Bros non-iron slim fit button-down off ebay. When it arrived, it turned out to not be non-iron. At first I was a bit cheesed, but once I'd worn it, I was in love. The non-iron fabric is fine & functional, but it feels kinds flimsy, like the cotton has been cut w/ saran-wrap. This shirt as much nicer, textural feel to it, exactly the hefty kind of "hand" I want in an oxford (for knitted and woolen ties and tweed etc.). The fit, of course, is spot-on (box-pleat aside). I've been led to believe that BB's slim fits now only come in non-iron (because, presumably, those of us w/o tent-shaped torsoes can't be bothered to iron). Does anybody know where I can get more BB slim fits that ARE NOT non-iron?

Thanks guys.

I had heard a report that Brooks had brought back the traditional slim fits. Is that not the case?

A few had showed up in my nearest BB outlet not long ago. There had been a glut of them there previously, but they seem much less common now.

They also show up on eBay, and seem to go for reasonable prices. Barring that, you could do what I do -- buy a regular, non-slim-fit shirt and have it taken in.

There's always Brooks' MTM program, if money isn't an object.

pretty sure you can also get the blue and red candy stripes as well...

I have the white BD non-non iron slim fit shirt, and it's a slight pain to iron but holds up well over the day (i machine wash and hang dry on a plastic hanger).
