That RowRow business is quite the douchebag move, though (and I have doubts that he came up with the code/method) it is quite ingenious.

Something I've been wondering for awhile --

When I go to do a round of reductions on a sale thread, at a minimum of 5%, etc., am I expected to reduce everything that's listed, or will some of the items do? I've been reducing everything just in case, but sometimes I have so many items, and there are ones for which it wouldn't make sense to lower them any further, while I still want to continue to reduce the price on other bigger-ticket items.

Wanting to continue making the goods competitively priced without committing a faux pas...

As long as you keep your custom title off my lawn, we should get along just fine.

People have been lowering one or a few things at a time, which is fine IMO if they are all in one thread.

I've counted at least three Boardwalk Empire threads. Think we could get a combine? Show is generating a lot of interest.

Can we implement a capcha or something for new users? The current system is obviously not slowing any of the spammers down

J is there a way to do, like, keyword spamination? I am killing that 'How to Convert DVD to MP4, AVI, 3GP, iPod' for about the three hundredth time at the moment, is there a way to filter new threads to kill off some of the obvious stuff?

Is there a way for mods to make a thread unviewable to certain member(s)?

I point you to: http://xkcd.com/327/ just because that comic is so relevant. I'm sure there are DBA's around here that would be willing to help.

A CAPTCHA wouldn't do anything for new members if they're non-automated processes. The only solution would be some kind of moderation against new threads for users under a certain time frame. It would add a bit of delay (depending on how frequently LA, J, etc get on the boards) in posting new threads, but I'm sure they would be able to get new moderators to help.
