Thank you, thank you - MTO EG Dover in olive 606 last from LS. (Having a helluva time getting the lighting right in the pics.)
Lily likes food and people, mainly.

Pardon me if this is in the wrong place but I figured someone on this particular thread would know about this. So I took a pair of VTG Wright black wingtips to get resoled in Boston (Central Sq, Cambridge). They had decent reviews so I thought I'd give them a try. First off he glued the sole on, which I didn't realize until I got them back and then secondly, (I'm not sure this is even possible) but the forefoot of the shoe appears to be pointing inwards. Meaning my right shoe's last is curved now and not straight. I asked him to redo it and he did but he said he'd never seen this before in 17 years. I don't remember the shoe being like this before I brought it to him or else I would have just donated them somewhere. Did he just destroy these shoes? Here's the pics:

Ah yes! I occasionally reread a post I made while having a cocktail, balancing the laptop on my lap where upon a cat is walking across the keyboard, and pretending to listen to my other half babbling on about something or another. It's pretty shocking what sort of gibberish I can write.

I blame it on my advancing age.

^^ I doubt he has ruined the shoes. I have a feeling the "curve" is the poor trimming of the "repalcement" sole. Take the shoes and send them Nick at B. Nelson. It looks like he did a partial repair of the sole --cheap method done for people who don't know better. Nick can examine the shoes and put a good sole on them.

not necessarily. sole is good. curving is strange, though.
