Has anyone been to a Saint Laurent boutique recently, or do know if they are selling a good amount from the new season?
I am wondering because I'm going to Paris in 3 weeks :)

Yea, the stores seem to have received a good amount of new items. What I saw was the cabin boy tees in s/s and sleeveless, knit mesh tanks, polo shirts, a few new button down shirts including the hawaiian shirt, some new suiting, double breasted blazers, leather vests, faux leather jeans, high rise jeans, new leather jackets, a few striped knits, and only a few new shoes/boots. The only notable new boot I saw was the ankle jodhpur boot with the strap/metal detailing.
Still a lot to come and I'm sure when you're in Paris in 3 weeks there will be a ton more. A lot of items are set to ship right now or in the next week.

Hey,

does anybody know where they still have these in stock? By the time I saw them, it was already too late :(. They are piratically sold out on every online store that carries SLP. If anyone has a pair size 32 that they are planning to sell, please feel free to shoot me a message!
Thanks

I would like to have some advices from other wise members here. Im thinking about buying a SLP leather jacket for 3k. Im a college student (in Sweden) so I dont have any big expenses and I have a part time job and the money for the jacket but Im not sure if its worth it? I want one but the price is so extreme that Im hesitating. What do you think?

I would say if that's really your situation and you're that hesitant to buy a $3,000 leather jacket, don't! They are fantastic leather jackets, good fit, good quality, and the hardwear is some of the nicest I've ever seen but you can get good leather biker jackets from a ton of different brands that would leave you with a ton of change. I would try BLKDNM or even get a Schott and use that extra money for something else.

The flipside to that is: if you buy a Schott or BLKDNM as a "cheap alternative" you'll likely never be happy with it. Is the SLP "worth" $3k? Probably not (and it reached < $2k during sales at some places). But nothing in fashion is really "worth" the RRP.

I'd save the money (given your age and situation) - at least try it on before you commit.

I got two BLK DNM jackets already :) one white and one blue suede so thats why i want a black SLP. I really like the brand and I got some shoes, jeans and bags but I feel that I might be a bit of a douche spending that kind of money on a jacket...

Buy things because they make you happy. Very few people are going to understand the purchasing habits of a majority of this forum...

NO! Don't purchase it. You'll have regret everytime you wear it. I think you should look for an alternative that's still a good designer. The SLP teddy varsity jacket was always on my wish light, but I bought a Sandro one for a fraction of the price, and I couldn't be happier. Purchase within your limits so you don't have buyers remorse. For that price, you can buy a ton of designer items/shoes, and I'm guessing you might be a lot happier with 3-5 new awesome items, opposed to 1.

However, I'm looking for a nice alternative to the SLP leather biker and I couldn't find any that I would like enough..
Couldn't justify paying that much money yet though

BruceWayne - you should also purchase within your allowed budget. There will be other jacket later on when you have more funding and it will also look awesome on you.
