should i take a 31 in the SL skinny is i'm a 29 in DH?
Can anyone help a brother out, just ordered these from the ssense sale and i went with my TTS 29 which i wear for APC as well. Will this be too small? Also wondering how much does washed 15.5cm stretch after some wear in the waist? Thanks.
SLP-Paris said they had a private, -40% sale last time I was there. Not sure it works on the phone and it is not an official sale yet but you guys can try. I will not arrange any proxying so don't message me.
Not trying to be a dick but if you already ordered them, why not just wait til you get them to see if they are too small?
Didn't want to make the comment too long but I have a friend that can order a larger size for me from overseas. The store only has 1 in each size left so i don't have the luxury of time.
LVR also has the "same" MIJ http://www.luisaviaroma.com/index.a...nderMemoCode=men&CategoryId=&SubLineMemoCode=
I don't know if anything is mislabeld at LVR. Maybe the new one is MIJ and the old is MII? No idea
Thanks for the info lillith but I sent them back, they were just TOO tight. I guess one size up will look good too.
Also, I think taking the same size in SL as in APC will not be very satisfying. I take a 29 in APC and tried a 30 in SL and see my pic for how tight it still is. I'd say +2 from your APC size.
Just wanted to chime in and say that I've been wearing my SLP 19cm black raws for about 4-5 times a week since about february of last year and they still look practically new, with some really nice solid creases and whiskers. I gained a little bit of weight but they don't feel like they've stretched too much. The only stretching i've noticed is in the kneecaps and its minimal. By comparison, my APC PS black raws stretched out about 2 or 3 sizes in about a third of the time i've worn the SLP's. I still haven't washed them yet as I think they have a lot of breaking in left (yes even after almost a year, although I did get them tailored at the SLP store and didn't wear them for about a month). Also to compare, diors took much less time to break in and felt pretty comfy after a while. SLP's are still super tight. the denim is really unforgiving which is on one hand great if you want to keep the form and fit, but not really that comfortable. I'm starting a new pair this week that i sized up on and won't tailor so I can keep a looser fit.
I have the black raws in 15cm in size 32 and they fit me big in the waist but tight everywhere else. In all my washed jeans, both 17cm and 15cm, they fit tight! The black 15cm that have paint marks and rips/stitch details are so damn tight in 32. They still fit but they definitely fit different than the raws.
All the washed jeans I have tried fit on the slimmer side.
To the person asking above about the washed jeans from ssense, they are going to fit slim! But it's going to be based on what you view as slim.
They are the same jeans. The country of production was changed for SS14.
If anybody grabbed these in a 30 or 31 and they didnt work out let me know.
Has anyone pre-ordered from ysl.com? The estimated dispatch was january 10, but it still hasn't, and I got no further information. It still says that the estimated dispatch is january 10. Does anyone know anything about what I can expect from now?
You could try contacted Saint Laurent, but pre-orders never come in on time. I had to wait a few extra months for my FW 15.5cms last year. My advice: be patient and go with the flow.
ok, thanks for the info I just think it's funny how luisa has had one of the products available for a while now but not ysl.com.
And btw, how come some of the Saint Laurent products I can find on different sites never come on the ysl.com site?
Is it possible that the boutiques have products for the new season that are never available online?
Different stores have different buyers, thus the selection varies from place to place. SLP boutiques in NY may buy for the NY client, LA for LA etc. Many times their wholesale clients like Mr Porter etc will buy completely differently from the collection, and sometimes get exclusives. Keeping deadlines with wholesale clients often times means that the flagship boutiques get things way later than other places. I think the SLP e-commerce site is all run by Yoox.
It can get confusing when looking for a certain piece/size, especially when one merchant puts things on sale that others don't.
Not sure where you're getting this info but it's completely incorrect.
YSL E commerce in USA is really only run by one person and she handles every order individually which is why it takes a while to process.
There are no buyers at the boutiques, they receive items based on what the house wants to represent. Yes the styles are based on region and location, which is why SLP LA will have more casual goods than NY, but it's all based on what the house sends them. There are managers there but they don't do any of the buys. Most of the people at SLP boutiques are about as in the know as you and I.
