I don't think there is a guideline to success in this thread. It is more about just what you are wearing. It is more of an art than a science. There are socks that are totally unrelated to both shoes and trou that look horrible and socks that are unrealted to both shoes and trou that look great. I guess just complimentary pairings. Also, I would note that style of trouser, sock, shoe is just as important for the combo to look good as colors are.

But the guideline implied by the successes in this thread is something like: your socks should coordinate (but not match) with both trousers (primarily) and shoes (secondarily). Yes?

Someone on my team designed virtually EVERYTHING you see. It was designed around the sculpture - which is by John Portman

This is something...more of an art than architecture.

I think what you mean by complimentary is what I mean by coordinate. And both terms are vague enough both to avoid the derogatory labels of "science" and "rules" and to encompass the less-noted aspects of coordination you mention.

And if you think this is amazing wait until you see what we did for Stitchy's shoe closet!!!!!!

The water feature alone cost over a million. And that was without the fiber optic lighting.
