My advice would be to go with an 8.5 F for RMW, assuming your 9.5 D's are not tight or too snug. If your 9.5 D's leave you with a little space or if this is your sneaker size, go with an 8 F RMW. These boots need to be somewhat snug to fit you right over the long term. Also, I have the yearlings and there is no discernable difference with the leathers of my other shoes in terms of durability. Of course, I have not worn them yetOriginally Posted by edmorel
I hear what you're saying, but I was looking at the storm-welted boots in person today, and I'm not sure I'd want to do that to a Craftsman even if RMW were willing.Originally Posted by grimslade
I think I'm ready to bite the bullet on some Turnouts in chestnut after trying on some AE PA. They were 11.5D and quite snug. I'm guessing that means I should get 10.5F. In case they don't fit, does nungar take returns? I really wouldn't like to ship to Australia (cost would be huge), but I wouldn't have any choice.Originally Posted by Borky
If it were me, I'd maybe even go up half a size for insurance. If you look at my pictures above, the 10.5 RMWs are shorter than an 11.5 PA.Originally Posted by grimslade
12F in RMW? Are you so sure about that?Originally Posted by Borky
Kangaroo is said to be the toughest leather weight for weight in the world and for this reason RMW chooses thinner skins. Kangaroos are as common as rodents in many parts of Australia - contrary to popular misconception they are not an endangered species. Kangaroos skin is much more coarse grained than other skins because they are left to roam around in the wild and accumulate small scars during the animal's lifetime. It is suitable for casual wear.Originally Posted by Sator
Kangaroo is not currently considered an endangered species—this is correct. But, Kangaroo is still illegal in New York State—they never changed it after Kangaroo was removed from the endangered species list. As far as I know, this is not enforced. Also, the Kangaroo population is closly tied to the amount of rain fall in Australia. The last I checked in on the situation there was an ongoing draught and lots of starving roo's. This could mean that they are heading back towards the endangered species list. This also means lower quality hides (poorly nurished aminals, more cuts from fighting for resources, etc.).Originally Posted by Lino
