New chelsea shoes to wear with a suit, RM Williams?

I don't own any Chukka boots although I consider them nice. I thinkg a suede pair would be good.

I usually wear either loafers or Chelseas depending on the weather. Oxfords mostly at work, some plain cap toe, some brogues.

yeah im leaning chelsea because i feel like theyre the loafers of winter and i refuse to dive into the laceless chukka (open walk) hype

Looking out the window in Oslo today, I would only wear RM Williams if I had a serious death wish.. The soles are slippery as hell.
I know from experience. Almost died walking through Slottsparken.

I would look for something with more traction.

I also agree with the comments above, Chelsea boots and suits are not ideal..
Put a pair of proper dress shoes in the office, and wear a robust pair on your commute.

Chelseas are fine to wear with a suit in the UK/Ireland, and I am told they are even more acceptable in Australia/NZ.
Have no idea how they will be received in Norway, but I would imagine quite well.

People are free to dress as they wish but this is generally not an accepted look in the UK.

I know it isn't in the first line of choices the way it supposedly is in Australia, but for one David Cameron, while in office, would wear chelseas with his suit if he was going anywhere the ground was likely to be less than pristine.
And I think the public-school educated millionaire Conservative prime minister could be considered part of the mainstream British establishment.

I wouldn't pay attention to how any of our prime ministers dress, especially those in recent years. However, there are a handful of parliamentarians like Jacob Rees-Mogg who understand how to dress properly.

No fan of Cameron, but at least his suits fit!
Rees-Mogg's gigantic double-breasteds are just as bad as Sunak's shrunken suits.

Anyway, we are not debating the stylishness of politicians, but the appropriateness of footwear in British society. And Prime ministers are at the heart of that society, especially Eton-educated ones.
