Sorry but I don't feel like going through the whole thread to get an answer. I'm going to visit the store in NYC. Is it cheaper to buy there or proxy directly from Australia?

Much cheaper to order direct form Australia, I think more than 35% off last time I checked the exchange.

Just got my chestnut craftsmen today. They are amazingly comfortable and I am very pleased with them, however, I found a few small marks on the toe of the right boot. there are a few small dents and one looks rather deep. I guess its not that big of a deal because I am sure they are going to get scuffed up eventually but its a little disappointing.

Do you guys think there is a chance that we can get pictures of all the RM's and their different colors into the shoe pictorial index?

If you go into an RMW store locally, they have an extremely extensive swatch book of leathers. It is larger than that found in most bespoke firms. I only wish there were some way of being able to show you guys. The skins change seasonally. Some of the lesser knowns ones are really nice. Whiskey remains a stand out favourite. You could look in the swatch books of many a high end/bespoke maker and not find anything like that. It also acquires a luscious patina.

Sator, the next official RM Williams Store from my place is in London. Not quite down the road from here.
Still, I think it would be great to see as many colors as possible. We all know what the chestnut looks like, but the various tans are pretty hard to find.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT.

By an owner of 3 pairs of RM Williams. I bought a pair of Gardeners a few years ago - 'graduated' up from Blundstones. Then Craftsmans a couple years ago, which I thought loose for my narrow foot.

Then I went to the Toronto store and special ordered the same Craftsmans in a narrower fit. Which they asked payment for in advance. Can't say I blamed them, given some of the browsers and timewasters of shop clerks time who post here.

So, I wear the 'narrower' boots for a few weeks. Really can't detect a difference.

You've already guessed: the narrower boots weren't narrower; they only bore the F fitting stamp on the bottom of the boot designating them so. Calipered them, they're the same width as my old Craftsmans. Ouch.

I apologize if this was covered, but after reading the first 13 pages of this thread, I decided that I'd never reach the end.

Has anyone had their RMW boots resoled, and with what luck?

I wear a 13D, though I probably should have gone one size narrower. I've got AE McClains, but no PAs for comparison. I plan to order a pair of custom Craftsman. Based upon the sizing guide, I believe that I should go with a 12F, but there's quite a bit to digest in that guide. Did I convert the size correctly?

Thanks for the help.

I just posted some pics of my new claret Comfort Craftsman in the "Shoe Damage Report & Appreciation Central".

I only mention as claret isn't that common.

I don't want to swamp the forum with multiple posts, but would be more than happy to post again in this thread, if that'd be helpful.

Has anyone had any luck with doing a custom order MTO option from Down Under?

I'd like to get either the Craftsman or Stockman in a non-stock color like Whiskey, Claret or Honey Tan and am not having the easiest of times finding a store in Australia to do so.

I've been to the RM Williams store in NYC and know they can do it...but doing so from Australia would be about $200 cheaper.
