So, there is a suit that I like, but I dislike pleats.

If I have my tailor remove them, will the pants look odd?

What's your take on removing pleats from pants?

It's inadvisable if the cloth is patterned (striped, windowpane) as the suit was cut to make the pattern look good. Also cotton suits will show the remains of the stitching.

I have done this to many pants, some with great success, others just ok. The cost was 70 dollars per pair, but he also lowered the rise slightly on some of them. Depending on the construction, each pair is a new game, some saw the pocket moved towards the seem slightly, others were left with a small dart, some were perfect and show no trace.
