It's the contrast collar on the short sleeve shirt. And the really dark, bold plaid.

Agree with you...

The shirt is too much and the espadrilles look out of place...

I like it too..but those nipple buttons are going to be a problem.

Might be the scarf making the coat buttons pull slightly; that happens to me sometimes when I tuck a scarf into my coat (ahem)

That, plus slightly wider lapels, and it will do very, very nicely indeed!
