Glad we're helping each other out. I was also looking at those, but was unsure of sizing. I tried on a pair of the Brooks Brothers Captoe Cordovan boots in my Brannock size and they were too large.
When I saw him post it, I knew I had to jump on it. Whatever it could've cost would've been lower than the options I was looking at; and I needed a grain stormwelt pretty much desparately.

I spent some time cleaning & polishing today on a rainy saturday. This is the first time I put any sort of shine on these boots. They were my go to winter boots last year. With record-breaking snow and accompanying slush, I actually treated these with Obenauf HDLP mid winter. May seem drastic but it kept the salty slush from penetrating the leather and getting my sock wet. It also made for much easier clean up. The salt would sit atop the layer of wax and wiped off quickly.

Got a new pair of Skye 3 in burnished chestnut. They look really nice however, I did notice that the leather used is quite a bit thinner than the leather used in Northcote model. It feels 'cardboard-ier' if that makes sense. Also despite both models using dainite soles the Skye 3 are noticeably lighter than the Northcotes.

After wearing these 4-5 times so far I have noticed that as well as the differences mentioned above the area around the neck of the shoe also feels wider and doesnt fit around the upper part of the foot as nicely as the Northcotes do. The tongue of the shoe remains quite cardboardy and has also developed several creases. The fit is certainly not as tight or as comfortable as that of Northcotes.

PS: Anyone can advise as to what colour cream or wax I should use for these please? I generally use Saphir.

Barney's bizarre world C&J US sizing strikes again.

I ordered the 348 dub munk chukkas and 325 roughout suede chukkas both in 10.
I also ordered the 325 chukkas in 10.5; they didn't have the 348 chukkas in 10.5.

The 348 chukkas fit. They're a big snug but good with a thin sock.
The 325s fit tighter than some 325 last Cavendish loafers I've got.
So now I'm waiting on the 10.5 chukkas to arrive tomorrow.

I should mention I've got other Barney's 348 last shoes in 10 and 10.5 and several boots on the 325 in 10.5 that fit.
I thought I'd roll the dice on the roughtout suede in 10 since the Cavendish fit so well in 10.
At least return shipping is free.

Were the chukkas these? http://www.barneys.com/crockett-jones-chepstow-chukka-boots-504067539.html

Does box say teak oil or something like that? Debating the pair but wanted to get some sizing info on them first.

My green pembroke fits a bit snugger than marlow but probably just not broken in yet. Also dye job is a bit iffy, brown shows quite a bit with shoes in sunlight. Wonder if C&J dyed it themselves
