stunning. I'm thinking I need a brown pair to go along with my black pair100% no breaking in required here… my cherished Islay boots back from Northampton for resoling and heel lining repair. The finishing around the welt looks impeccable. I opted to go with the Ridgeway sole this time.

Agreed, especially depending on how big the rotation is. Will only need to do heels for quite a whileDainite will last forever. If you really want to make the change, might as well do it now.

I’ve also got the Teak one so Rough-Out not of much interest to me.
Back when I had just four pairs of good shoes one had Danite soles . I wore them about two whole days a week, which included about two miles of walking on pavements a day. The Danite soles lasted for five years. My double leather soles in those days lasted for eighteen months by comparison.Dainite lasts a while, but I am noticing some pretty substantial wear on two pairs of mine even though I have a substantial rotation on my 40+ pairs of shoes.
Dainite isn't indestructible. It just isn't as thin as single leather.
