Question about tailoring this wool YMC shirt/jacket I bought off New Dandyism...

I just rec'd this here YMC wool check shirt jacket from New Dandyism. The fit is great, except for the chest pockets. I seem to be too short for the pattern, so the pockets sit lower on my chest than I'd like (an inch or two lower than this guy off the website). I really like it otherwise, but this just annoys me. I have, in the past, used a seam ripper to remove bothersome chest pockets on cotton shirts and the holes left behind just disappear in the wash. I'm not sure if I could do this on wool though. Any ideas? (FWIW, it's 90% wool, 10% nylon I think)

Yes, you could probably do that. I'd just have a tailor sew them on in the right position. Cool piece, though I'm not a huge lumberjack-plaid fan.

i'm glad you're happy w/ the shirt otherwise. it's honestly one of my favorite pieces in the store.
