Looking for a quality Cobblers in the UK. Ideally in the South East / London area but happy to mail the shoes into anywhere that offers a high quality service.

I recently tried Hoxton Shoe Repairs - a pair FEIT of hand sewn lows - although they got the work generally right the quality of finishing was poor and the heel depth was twice what it should of been, not great - especially at the price they charge.

Have recently tried to using Original Cobblers (mail order service) again - used them 10 years ago and their work was very good but it was a straightforward job. This time shoes came back, half the work hadn't be been done and what they did do was done quite poorly - lack of attention to detail and with some of their own artistic interpretations in how the replacement parts should be coloured etc.

I'm looking for someone to replace the leather soles with rubber in Hand Sewn Lows and someone who can handle a Vibram Gumlite resole in the Hiker boot.

Brian the Bootmaker quality is what I'm after - someone who has an eye for attention to detail and uses good quality replacement products.
