Private Office Bar, what do I need?

I'm remodeling my office. I'd like to add a small bar with built in cooler (small fridge) on the opposite side of my desk. What do I need in terms of the basics concerning drinks and equipment? It'll be more for personal use and to accommodate up to no more than two other persons.

Well, I'd say you need good scotch, good bourbon, vodka, both vermouths, olives, soda, rocks glasses, martini glasses, cherries, a shaker, and ice. Then you can make and old fashioned, martini, or scotch/bourbon on the rocks or neat.

Gin please. Thank God someone is still able to have an office bar in this day and age.

Going all Mad Men with the office redecoration, sounds awesome. Don't forget the vintage sofa for spending the night in the office/engaging in casual sex with other office workers

I prefer the Seinfeld "sleeping under the extended desk" method myself.

Given George's weight and lack of fitness, I doubt he could pull that off in real life. I prefer a day bed in the office myself.

Also throw some Red Bull in there in case you bring a lady friend back to the office and need a "boost" to get you through the evening!

Well if it's for personal use then your own preferences should dictate the selection.

If you need to serve someone else in a pinch, it'd be good to have a mixer or two, but I'd keep it to a couple of cans of ginger ale, soda, and tonic water. The hardest part will be keeping yourself properly stocked with a lemon and a lime; you'll have to change those out every week or so. I'd keep to small and simple myself, so I'd likely end up with a nice scotch, a gin, and maybe a Canadian whiskey. You wouldn't find any vodka in my bar.

More than anything else, I think your biggest expense ought to be a nice set of crystal rocks glasses, maybe some crystal stirrers, sharp cocktail napkins, and a silver tray.

All you need is an "office bottle" like Philip Marlow.
