Question for the future: is it possible to do rivets in MTO? I know that with the Cabourn boot it was an issue of proprietary features being replicated, but I was curious if it was a possible addition to make ups that we ourselves concocted.

I don't believe that it is possible, that it was a special thing for Cabourn that one time only, but I can ask.

How about a partially structured toe in the brown waxed flesh service boot?? I think I'm in either way though.

Viberg did a run of boots using a painted Guidi horsehide last year. The leather had some of the finish rubbed off it during manufacture to simulate wear.

How about using this leather, or something similar, but without the ageing for the Echo boots? The colour would rub off over time, and the boots would develop a really interesting patina over time.

They no longer have that leather. That leather was also steamed and sanded to get that finish.

Yes, please ask, a rivet actually adds a lot I think. And I feel like I have seen them on another Viberg boot recently, a non Cabourn, so perhaps it is indeed possible. Seems weird to call that one element proprietary -- it's not like other boots don't have them.

Rivets would look great on some of the service boots proposed here, but also maybe on Half-Japanese..? I am a fan of rivets.

They did it for 14oz Berlin recently for a couple of their boots. Here is one of them:

I like the whites but can we get some super thick soles like the Bobcat from a couple of years ago? Sorry if they've been mentioned, havent read through the thread. I'll read it in a little bit

This is the correct answer. Why all you Viberg fellas into the dozens of permutations of brown but ignore black roughout?!
