I recently got an Omega watch, and wanted desperate to get the OEM rubber strap. The actual strap was $256 and the deployment buckle was an extra $256. So over $500 total. I got a great deal on the watch itself through a gray dealer and saved a ton on the watch itself so I pulled the trigger on the strap.
The buckle you can use on any strap on any omega watch which I guess is cool, but clearly super overpriced.

Should be, but you'll still get charged a brokerage fee and whatever your provincial taxes are. Also depends on whether or not the guy at the border gives enough ***** to check the country of origin and/or if FB marks the country of origin properly. This may be a question for the customs thread but does anyone know if Made in USA shoes ordered from Frans Boone and delivered to Canada are duty free?

And yet, it's a valid (sorta) excuse. Sending out that type of explanatory email requires infrastructure, unless you have very small volume - essentially, just a guy and a computer and some stuff to sell. At any type of volume, a workflow has to be created, and personnel assigned. Not saying that it's not something that shouldn't be done. but having been working with a variety of small verging on mid-sized companies, I've seen how stretched resources are. Much of the economy is held together with duct tape and bubble gum.Oki-Ni canceled my order because they couldn't "verify payment as it did not pass our security team's checks." Yet, they didn't even bother to inform or email me until I inquired about the order a week later. Apparently they "do not currently have the facility to inform our customers of any cancelled or returned orders." Terrible business practice. Now the items are gone.
