Hello-

Long-time lurker and infrequent poster here. I have yet to see a comprehensive solution to finding a tailor in my city (Philadelphia) for alterations. So, therefore, I have resorted to MTMs, mainly Luxire now-a-day. Which is great, but there are still pieces we like to grab OTR and have altered to our liking. I wanted to start a thread that would be frequently updated with submissions for each city/state, and even possibly reviews for certain tailors in certain areas if they are particular about what they will/won't do, or what they are good/bad at, or even pricing guides for each location. Like I said, a comprehensive guide. Yelp isn't really reliable because often the people leaving reviews on the tailors listed, aren't enthusiasts such as yourselves.

So if you have any information about your local tailor, and you'd like to give them a well-deserved recommendation, please join the discussion and I will add it to the state with the name, site/address/phone/small notes.

Notes:
I've been there personally, the alterations are quality, Ron will give you his opinion, just be sure to make your point clear if you disagree, he is accommodating. Prices were reasonable, turn around is reasonable but you should follow up the day before, I had showed up the day my alterations were due and no one was at the office. They gave me a discount for my next alteration as an accommodation, friendly people. Judging by his pictures on Yelp I think he was previously an in-house SuSu tailor.

Great idea. Also recently in the greater Philadelphia region and would like to know of any recs that might be out there.

Can anyone lend a helping hand?
