Those metal heel ‘segs’ are grating on me a little. Maybe I need to learn to ‘own’ the clang with every step more? I’m close to exchanging them for a rubber. I’ll give it one more week.

I always have liked the sound personally. Reminds me of my childhood . Every man had shoes or boots with them , to me it is very traditional . Rarely heard now in the city and If at all it’s an older gent . The Friday market is an instruction in the city , for fresh fruit , veg , meat etc.. antiques , Irish tweed hats and the like ... More often than not you’ll hear the “crunch” on the old concrete floor of an old fella , me included , lol .

I don’t recall seeing (or hearing) an elderly gentleman with such shoes. I see a lot of cheap rubbish. People seem happy with them.

I said I would be opting for the crepe soled suede Woodstock today and I kept to my word. One or two drops landed on these ones. ☔️

Loads out here as well, especially at the Auction (Farmers..).

The Friday indoor market , St George’s , is a longstanding tradition. Amongst the ever increasing numbers of tourists, students and hipsters you will see a large amount of locals buying their weekly fruit , veg and meat . Before I stopped eating animals I would fill a rucksack with sirloins , lamb chops and bacon every Friday after I left work at 11am . My son and I ate like kings , lol . (We still do in my opinion) The meat was so inexpensive , no shop rent , rates , electric etc for the butchers . The pitches aren’t that expensive either , just hard to come by .

Went Northern Light hunting in the long wet cold grass, unfortunately, I didn’t have my Trickers for this occasion and feet got cold, got nice pictures though :)

My favs. I have a pair of the peanut ones also which seem to have a noticeably harder wearing crepe sole. My ridges soles are wearing down quite quickly. I only wear them about once a week so will probably get another year or two wear before a resole needed.
