What is the best way to care for waxed suede shoes?Waxy Bourtons..
View attachment 1872326
Hi, I just leave it and let it patina. It can be re waxed down the line much like a Barbour waxed jacket. What is the best way to care for waxed suede shoes?
Current kudu is quite a bit different than from when they first started using it several years ago. The older kudu has more of a scarred up texture to it. My pairs really haven’t changed much since new. I have one pair purchased this year. It’s a much smoother finish with fewer scars and “patina”. I haven’t noticed excess creasing though.Any first-hand experiences on how Trickers Kudu leather has fared after a few years of wear? E.g., Does it crease quicker (or more) than calf leather for instance? Does it soften or loose shape more than calf leather? I've found after just two wears that it has creased a fair bit along the vamp.
Any thoughts on whether it's too close to the Bourtons to justify the purchase? You're talking to the man who's just ummed and ahhed for a month over which one pair of boots to buy. I would say yes but I'm sure many on here would consider my collection embarrassingly lean. They're a different last and depending on how you wear your trousers, a different look so if you can afford it - why not? That’s the one I’m coveting but I’m afraid it’s too close in appearance to the espresso Bourtons I just snagged. Any thoughts?
