Does anyone have any suggestions on removing mold from and disinfecting a barbour waxed jacket?

I guess cold wet sponge and freeze.

I would just wash/disinfect it normally and give it for re-waxing.

You'll never be able to rewax it if you wash it any other way that with cold water.

Why is that ? Aren't you just washing out the wax from the cotton that you can re-apply afterwards ?

No no, the cloth is waxed pre-weave. So before the cloth even goes through the looms, its waxed. Soap will destroy this wax and therefore you'll never get it back.

Just wash it with a cold wet sponge and re-wax once a year.

I just got a "Made for Japan" Bedale in Sage from Kafka; it's the replica "original" Bedale with the two chest flap pockets and no Barbour logo embroidered on the bellows pocket flap. I also have a "Classic Bedale" in the same size. The "original" definitely is slimmer than my "Classic" and without having taken any actual measurements and only having tried it on once, I can say it doesn't really seem shorter than the "Classic" either. I can post some pictures and rudimentary measurements if you're interested in seeing them, either the "original" by itself or side by side with the "Classic".

Ugh. I ordered the same modified Bedale with the two chest flap pockets. Problem is they sent the one with the **** hand warmer pockets. I'd consider just keeping it but I already have an olive Ashby which has the hand warmer pockets.

I'd say the XL Ashby or Bedale SL fits slimmer through the body than the size 42 Made for Japan.

Still decided whether to re-proof my Sylkoil Beaufort or just keep wearing it and really add some "patina" and mileage before I do.
