Yeah like any process a bad piece might slip through. This could be a bad batch of thread that's easily missed or some cloth that's just a bit weaker than usual. I have had so many Cabourn pieces over the years and they are built to last.
Even so, their customer service is also outstanding. I'm sure if you talked to them they'd listen to your concerns and help where they could.

Strangely enough the worst problem I've had were also shorts - they were the Bombay Bloomer shorts from SS11

Loose threads on buttons not properly finished off and the stitching on the belt loops was pretty poor

Other than that again from SS11 my Work Pocket jacket in linen had ropey stitched button holes - where the butcher buttons went through holes - the stitching around the holes was poor

It took me a whole evenings work to restitch and finish off

Everything else - roughly about 40 Authentic and mainline garments are next to perfect - I think I've only had one button come off a coat after I got it caught

I do occasionally just cut a few threads which are a left too long after finishing off

But that's the Beauty of small batch hand finished garments

Why would you go to the trouble of re-finishing a jacket you spent quite a bit of money on? I would send it back and I certainly would not enthuse about this being the beauty of small batch hand finished garments. If anything that makes it more unforgivable.

Once as I was sewing a button back onto a tweed mallory the others began falling gently off like autumn leaves. It was a melancholy moment. I could've written a haiku.

Other than that only a busted snap on an aircraft jacket which the shop fixed free of charge.

Because it was the only one in my size outside of Japan so it couldn't be replaced - I would just get my money back

The only problems I've had have been with collaborations - one pair of NCxConverse I had to send back because the inside sole was all torn up, it was the strangest thing.

Anyone interested in an orange Everest Parka? I would sell two, one in 48 and one in 52, £1500 each.

Does anyone know which shops are carrying the ladies' range? My girlfriend tried on the Everest and the Camerman in store this Saturday and can now understand my Cabourn addicition... to the point that she know wants and Everest Parka and a Cameraman as well haha. Any recommendations on where to buy? I know that UshowU carries a quite good selection, however, sizes are limited. Then there are Flannels, Coggles and Corniche, all of which don't have lots of stuff...
